Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a £2 million drylining package on a major project based in Yeovil. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management (or equivalent) with SMSTS, CSCS Black Card and First Aid, plus proven drylining experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent.
• SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid certification.
• Strong drylining experience with excellent technical understanding of systems and specifications.
• Previous experience managing large-scale construction projects.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures and site reporting systems.
• Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on a £2 million drylining package.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor quality, health & safety, and compliance across all drylining works.
• Maintain site documentation including progress reports, RFIs, variations, and site diaries.
• Liaise closely with the Principal Contractor, consultants, and wider project team.
• Produce short-term programmes and monitor progress against project milestones.
• Support and mentor site teams while maintaining strong working relationships on site.
