Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Site Manager to oversee a large-scale drylining package on an Exeter project. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery on a major student accommodation development.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management, strong drylining experience, and proficient use of Microsoft Office and project management tools. The role is site-based with long-term pipeline work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent.
• Strong drylining experience with excellent technical understanding of systems and specifications.
• Previous experience managing large-scale construction projects.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures and site reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on a large-scale student accommodation project.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor quality, health & safety, and compliance across all drylining works.
• Maintain site documentation including progress reports, RFIs, variations, and site diaries.
• Liaise closely with the Principal Contractor, consultants, and wider project team.
• Produce short-term programmes and monitor progress against project milestones.
• Support and mentor site teams while maintaining strong working relationships on site.

Salary: Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Day Rate: Up to £250 a day

Working Arrangement: Site based

Employment Type: Permanent or Contract

A Site Manager is required for a leading drylining contractor to oversee a £3 million drylining package on a major £80 million student accommodation development in Exeter. The project is expected to run for approximately 2 years and forms part of a strong pipeline of upcoming work across the Southwest. With a turnover of £65 million and approximately 150 members of staff, the company operates from multiple offices across the UK.

This role would suit an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in drylining, capable of managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
