Job summary

Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Substance Misuse Support Worker for a Worcester-based locum position. The role focuses on supporting individuals affected by substance misuse and coordinating care with partner agencies to ensure safe, recovery-focused outcomes.

You will manage a caseload, conduct assessments and create risk-based plans, delivering harm reduction advice and practical support. Strong communication and safeguarding knowledge are essential for this service.

Location: Worcester Contract: Locum Pay Rate: From £21.00 per hour (Umbrella)

• Managing a caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.

Essential Experience & Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals affected by substance misuse.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management.
• Understanding of recovery-focused interventions and harm reduction approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively with vulnerable individuals.
• Experience within community drug and alcohol services would be highly desirable.
