Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Drivers Mate for the Store to Home team at Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU). You will work in a two-person crew delivering B&Q orders, assist with loading/unloading, and ensure on-time, careful delivery to customers.

Doubts or issues are communicated promptly to customers. This is a full-time, rotating shift role with overtime opportunities. The position pays £12.71 per hour, equating to about £26,436.80 per year, with 40 hours weekly and benefits including pension and

• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
• Be prepared to commute to Milton Keynes (MK13 8PU) for the required shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises, ~16 drops daily off-peak and ~24 drops daily in peak season.
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle and in loading/unloading when required.
• Provide effective customer service and ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition.
• Inform customers of their estimated time of delivery and any issues in a polite and courteous manner.

Job description

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner

  You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 7:30. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week., An hourly rate of £12.71, that is an annual salary of £26,436.80
