Job summary

Riverridge is seeking a Driver Helper to support the busy Logistics Team. The role is based at the Garvagh and Maydown depots, with an AM shift from 5:30am, Monday to Friday and Saturdays on rota.

The successful candidate will assist the Driver, manage daily run documentation, check customer routing, maintain RiverRidge service standards, and handle physical tasks including moving containers while complying with PPE and Health & Safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points).
• Good Geographical knowledge of NI.
• Experience dealing with customers and the public.
• Able to work well with others and be a team player.
• Ability to apply Manual Handling techniques.
• Flexible hours including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Driver at all times.
• Obtain necessary documentation for daily runs.
• Check customer routing for daily runs and prioritise workloads.
• Provide excellent customer service supporting the RiverRidge brand.
• Move and collect commercial containers as required.
• Complete electronic paperwork accurately and timely.
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times; wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as delegated by Transport Department.

Hours: AM Shift Monday-Friday

Base location: Garvagh and Maydown

Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a Driver Helper to join our busy Logistics Team. This role will be based out of the Garvagh depot and Maydown depot.

As a AM shift drivers helper, you will start at 5:30am, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.

Role & Responsibilities

• To provide assistance to the Driver at all times
• Obtain all necessary documentation for the daily runs to ensure efficient operation of the business activities
• Check customer routing for the daily runs, prioritising workloads to ensure all customer commitments are achieved
• Provide excellent customer service that supports the RiverRidge brand
• Due to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to collect and move commercial containers
• Ensure all electronic paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department.
