NICHOLLS'(FUEL OILS) LIMITED, Head Office, Greysteel, is seeking a Transport Supervisor to lead the distribution department across five locations and optimise routing and scheduling.
You will ensure driver hours compliance, communicate with sales to align delivery schedules and uphold safety and environmental standards. Knowledge of NI geography is essential, with ADR/CPC/C+E licenses desirable.

Location: Head Office, Greysteel with responsibility for 5 locations
Hours: Operating shifts between 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday.
Saturday (overtime on rota basis)
40 hours paid (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
1. Oversee and manage the distribution department e.g. domestic drivers and routing team across 5 locations
2. Ensure the Routing and Scheduling of all vehicles in your area of responsibility, in compliance with the drivers’ hours regulations and working time directive.
3. Ensure that the department communicates efficiently with sales teams regarding delivery schedules etc.
4. Ensuring that product is delivered correctly in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring H&S and environmental standards are met.
5. Monitor Drivers’ hours, Breaks, Tachographs in accordance with current legislation.
7. Ensure all necessary departmental documentation and administration is maintained and completed on a daily basis.
8. Responsible for vehicle monitoring and scheduling of minor maintenance issues on domestic tanker fleet in area of your responsibility.
9. Manage Annual Leave and Driver absence and liaise with HR Department.
10. Liaise with HR to facilitate Driver recruitment, e.g. interview, induction and driver training and PPE.
11. Ensure Operations Director is informed of RTA’s or any vehicle maintenance issues that may arise.
12. Investigation of transport misdemeanours e.g., RTA, contamination, spillage, property damage, vehicle damage, driver behaviour whilst ensuring completion of all relevant driver paperwork and outcome.
13. Depot Management - monitor Product storage, Water dips, Markings/Description, Meters, and Tan
Previous experience working a supervisory role within the transport sector.
Thorough knowledge of transport Regulations and Compliance
Possession of category C + E license, ADR License & CPC (desirable)
Excellent geographic knowledge of Northern Ireland and familiar with planning/scheduling systems (desirable)
