Job summary

Riverridge in Garvagh, Northern Ireland, is seeking a full-time HGV Driver (Cat C) to perform multi-drop deliveries and collections across NI. The AM shift starts at 05:30 from the Garvagh site, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis. You must have a valid HGV licence, Tachograph card, CPC, and a UK driving licence with up to six points.

You will contribute to safe operations, team collaboration, and excellent customer service while meeting regulatory hours and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence – Category C.
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC.
• Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
• Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience.
• Experience in the waste industry is preferred.
• Must be able to provide documentation to confirm eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect on multi-drop routes across NI.
• Maintain excellent customer service for the RiverRidge Brand.
• Carry out vehicle checks in line with licence procedures and report defects.
• Adhere to driver hours regulations and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Collaborate with transport team to maintain and improve service.
• Wear PPE and follow security clearance processes as required.
• Undertake training and perform any other duties from Transport Department.

Job description

Permanent / Full Time Mon-Fri min 40 hours

Starting time: AM Shift

Base Location: 56 Craigmore Road, Garvagh

We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Garvagh. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.

As a AM shift Drivers, you will start at 05.30am based from Garvagh site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.

• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
• Must hold a valid HGV licence – Category ‘C’,
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)

• Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
