Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to join the team at Motherwell Food Park, Bellshill. You will play a key role delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers’ homes, ensuring safety and excellent service at every doorstep.

The role involves a two-person delivery team, handling up to 120kg items, and completing 10–40 deliveries per day. Shift rotations include weekends, with early starts and a typical finish around 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Enjoy delivering exceptional customer service and representing DHL and Next in customers' homes.
• Home delivery experience is desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable with physical work and handling large/heavy items.
• Open to both newly qualified and experienced drivers with buddy support and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Next Home furnishings as part of a two-person team.
• Safely handle items from 5kg to 120kg while serving customers.
• Complete 10–40 deliveries per day depending on route and requirements.
• Perform vehicle checks and follow health and safety procedures.
• Work rotation shifts, including regular weekends, with early starts (6:00am) and late finishes (around 4:30pm).

Play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering Next Home furnishings safely and on time while providing an exceptional customer experience.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Working as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes.
• Safely handling and delivering large items ranging from 5kg to 120kg while providing excellent customer service.
• Completing between 10 and 40 deliveries per day, depending on route and customer requirements.
• Conducting vehicle checks and following all health and safety procedures throughout the working day.
• Working a rotation shift pattern, including regular weekend shifts, with start times from 6:00am and finish times typically around 4:30pm, route dependent.

This Role Would Suit People Who

• Hold a valid HGV driving licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Enjoy delivering exceptional customer service and acting as the face of DHL and Next in customers' homes.
• Have home delivery experience, although this is desirable rather than essential.
• Are comfortable with physical work, including the safe handling of large and heavy items.
• Are newly qualified or experienced drivers looking to develop their skills, with full support available through our buddy system and assessment process.
