Job summary

Welfare4Hire Limited is seeking a Driver / Yard Operative to join our UK team. The role focuses on delivering and collecting welfare units up to 3.5 tonnes, and supporting depot operations with yard/workshop tasks to keep the fleet in top condition.

When not driving, you will help with stock control, loading/unloading, and safety checks, ensuring high standards of service and compliance on busy customer sites.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with B+E entitlement.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles and towing trailers.
• CSCS card preferred.
• Good knowledge of routes and geography.
• Strong health and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and collect welfare units up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Plan efficient routes with Transport Planner.
• Complete delivery/collection paperwork using company systems.
• Carry out PDIs and report defects.
• Maintain and secure loads and trailers.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Support yard and workshop activities when not driving.
• Ensure a clean, safe, organised depot environment.
• Promote health and safety across the site.
• Assist with stock control and fleet availability.
