Job summary

JDP Hereford is seeking a hands-on Driver/Yard Operative to join our team. You will be out on the road delivering products across Hereford and surrounding areas, while also supporting warehouse and yard operations at the branch.

The role combines driving with practical duties such as picking, packing, stock checks, and helping customers. A Full UK Driving Licence, a good safety record, and a team‑focused attitude are essential for this hands‑on, customer‑facing position.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe driving practices.
• Knowledge of driver regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to plan routes and manage deliveries efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 3.5T pickup vehicle and deliver products across Hereford and surrounding areas.
• Plan efficient daily delivery routes and provide excellent customer service at each delivery point.
• Carry out vehicle checks and maintain road safety standards.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for delivery; assist with yard/warehouse tasks as needed.
