Job summary

Biffa is seeking a Training Supervisor in Manchester to lead training for drivers, loaders, operatives and supervisors at our recycling and waste management contracts. You will ensure staff are equipped to perform their roles with a strong safety focus.

Applicants should have training experience or be an experienced driver in waste/service industries, plus LGV Category C and Driver CPC. IT literacy and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• LGV Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence and Driver CPC required.
• Experience in training or as a driver in waste/service industries preferred.
• IT literacy and ability to use business software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist depots in achieving Vehicle Gate Check, Crew Monitoring, and Route Risk Assessment targets.
• Mentor staff by addressing unsafe or non-compliant behaviours observed during checks.
• Report major vehicle cleanliness or condition issues to the Business Manager.
• Deliver training to a consistently high standard aligned with Group Training Standards.
