Job summary

Biffa is hiring for a Regional Driver Development Coach to enhance driver performance and safety across our fleet. The role involves recruitment, training, and ongoing support to ensure compliance and efficiency. Minimum three years of HGV experience is required, along with relevant certifications.

Located in Sheffield, this position is key in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, with benefits including a company car or allowance and 25 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HGV driving experience, including multiple HGV modes.
• Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Strong working knowledge of driver legislation and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the hiring process with pre-employment assessments.
• Provide ongoing driver training to enhance skills.
• Maintain accurate driver competence and training records.
• Offer reassessment and retraining for drivers after incidents.
• Conduct analysis of driving data with management.
• Implement targeted support for drivers needing improvements.
• Enhance training delivery and optimise driver learning.
