Northern Trains Limited is seeking a Driver Team Manager for Blackpool to lead driver teams and ensure safe, reliable services on-site. You will drive performance, mentor staff, and maintain high safety standards while coordinating with other departments to keep rail services moving.

The role requires a current TDLCR licence, 4+ years of train driver competence, and flexibility for shifts including weekends and on-call duties, with a medical assessment part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current TDLCR licence.
• Must have at least 4 years' train driver competence.
• Full driving licence required.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and on-call.
• Pass a medical assessment due to safety-critical role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of drivers to deliver safe, reliable train services.
• Manage day-to-day operational performance and timely delivery of services.
• Promote and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Coach and develop drivers to achieve high performance and service levels.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Handle people management tasks including performance reviews and welfare.
