Job summary

Veolia in Shepton Mallet is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to join our waste management team. You will drive, collect, and operate in line with Veolia procedures, with safety as a priority.

This role is 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 04:30am starts with occasional weekend work. You’ll perform daily vehicle checks and keep logs up to date.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• CPC and Digi card up to date.
• Positive can-do attitude with strong time management.
• Experience in waste management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive and carry out collections following Veolia procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and log defects.
• Maintain up-to-date daily logs and comply with traffic laws.
• Adhere to Veolia H&S policies and lift bins as required.

What you'll be doing;

• Driving and carrying out collections following Veolia procedures
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle and recording defects as required
• Ensuring all daily logs are kept up to date
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation
• Follow all Veolia H&S Policies and procedures
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes, so you're always on the go

What we're looking for;

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC / Digi card
• A can do attitude and strong time management skills
• Previous experience in Waste Management is desirable
