Job summary

Veolia in Colchester is seeking a Class 2 driver to join our waste management fleet. You will drive to planned collection locations and move waste containers, ensuring paperwork is entered into the onboard system and kept up to date.

Daily vehicle checks and compliance with traffic laws are essential as part of your responsibilities. We offer 22 days of annual leave (rising to 25), a pension, meal allowance, and a range of wellbeing and development benefits.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) driving license.
• Up-to-date CPC certification.
• Digi / Tachograph Card required.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving/emptying multiple commercial waste containers.
• Entering all information into the onboard system and submitting paperwork daily.
• Performing daily checks of the vehicle per the driver operator handbook.
• Complying with traffic laws and weight of loads.
• Maintaining a clean carriageway and managing spills as needed.
