Job summary

Veolia Group in Croydon is seeking a reliable Van Driver/Loader to join our expanding fleet. You will drive company vans safely, perform daily vehicle checks, and collect commercial waste and recycling from customer premises.

This role offers ongoing training, benefits, and a supportive team. You’ll work 40 hours per week with a 4am start, and have opportunities to progress toward HGV driver training within a values-driven company committed to serving communities and the environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Strong health & safety awareness.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vans safely and in line with road traffic legislation and procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks and report defects.
• Load and unload waste containers safely and efficiently.
• Collect commercial waste and recycling from customer premises.
• Ensure all collections are completed on time and in line with service schedules.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices to complete route information and report issues.
• Report contaminated bins, missed collections or access issues.
• Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally.
• Support depot operations and assist other crews when required.
