ITS Property Maintenance is recruiting a Driver Labourer / Clearance Operative to join our property maintenance team in Farnborough. The role involves clearing properties, loading bulky waste, and driving a company van across North Hampshire, with 40 hours per week and a standard 8:00am–5:00pm timetable.

Applicants should hold a Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) and be physically fit. Benefits include a permanent contract, 28 days holiday, and DBS/reference checks.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move bulky materials.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Experience in labouring, clearance, removals, waste collection or similar is advantageous.
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out property and communal area clearances.
• Collecting bulky waste, unwanted items and discarded materials.
• Loading materials safely into a company van.
• Transporting waste and materials to approved disposal or storage facilities.
• Clearing waste from internal and external areas.
• Removing green waste where required.
• Sweeping and cleaning internal void properties and communal areas after clearance works.
• General labouring and manual handling duties.
• Driving a company van between properties, sites and disposal facilities.
• Ensuring work areas are left clean, tidy and safe.
• Communicating with customers, residents and management when required.
• Using a handheld PDA/mobile device to record jobs and completed works - training provided

ITS Property Maintenance are recruiting for a Driver Labourer / Clearance Operative to join an established and growing property maintenance contractor on a permanent employment contract.

This is a hands-on role working across properties and sites, carrying out property, garden, communal area and waste clearances, loading and transporting materials and assisting with general labouring duties in void properties (empty properties that need clearing before re-letting to tenants).

You will be driving a company van throughout the working day, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is a physically demanding role and will involve regularly lifting, carrying and loading bulky items and waste materials. You will be working in the RG and GU postcodes of North Hampshire.

The company van will be collected from the Farnborough depot each morning and returned at the end of each working day, so you must be able to reliably travel to Farnborough.

Your Key Duties

• Carrying out property and communal area clearances

What's Needed From You

• Full UK driving licence - maximum 6 points
• No alcohol-related or similar serious driving endorsements
• Ideally aged 25+ for company vehicle insurance purposes, although applicants aged 21+ can be considered subject to insurer approval
• Confident and competent driving a commercial/company van
• Previous labouring, clearance, removals, waste collection, property maintenance or similar experience advantageous
• Physically fit and able to regularly lift and move bulky materials
• Comfortable working both internally and externally in varying weather conditions
• Reliable with good timekeeping
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using a PDA/mobile device
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willing to undertake a varied, physically demanding role

Hours, Salary & Employment

£31,200 starting salary

Permanent employment contract

40 hours per week

8:00am - 5:00pm with 1-hour unpaid break

28 days holiday including Bank Holidays

Holiday year runs 1 January - 31 December, pro-rated during the first year

Company van supplied for work purposes

Van collected and returned to the Farnborough depot each day

Employment subject to satisfactory references, Right to Work checks and DBS

6-month probationary period
