Qualifications

• Previous experience in Labourer, Property Clearance, Maintenance or Construction Support roles.
• Must live within Hampshire.
• Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass a Basic DBS Check.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out waste clearance and cleaning within void properties.
• Undertake garden clearance and general external tidying works.
• Support trade operatives as a second person during maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Collect and deliver materials to various sites as required.
• Assist with loft insulation installation.
• Support the removal of bathrooms and kitchens.
• Assist with related plumbing works where required.
• Maintain van stock and record materials used.
• Update work records and job completions using PDA/smartphone tech.
• Complete timesheets and vehicle checks accurately.
• Report follow-on works and additional repair requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team.
• Ensure tasks are completed safely and per company procedures.

ROLE: Cleaner

LOCATION: Andover, SP11

PAY RATE: £13.33 per hour PAYE | £17.00 per hour Umbrella

CONTRACT: Contract from 1st September to 31st December

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a reliable Labourer to join the Maintenance Team at Aster Group, supporting property refurbishment and maintenance activities across Hampshire. This role will primarily involve waste clearance and cleaning within void properties, garden clearance, and providing support to trade operatives as a second person while works are being completed. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring properties are prepared and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out waste clearance and cleaning within void properties.
• Undertake garden clearance and general external tidying works.
• Support trade operatives as a second person during maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Collect and deliver materials to various sites as required.
• Assist with loft insulation installation.

• Assist with associated plumbing works where required.
• Maintain van stock and accurately record materials used.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience within a Labourer, Property Clearance, Maintenance, or Construction Support role.
• Must live within Hampshire.
• Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass a Basic DBS Check.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Competent using smartphones, PDAs, email, and mobile technology.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience working within social housing, repairs, or maintenance environments.
• Previous property clearance and refurbishment experience.
• Experience supporting skilled tradespeople.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and general maintenance works.
• Stock control and materials management experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Candidates must reside within Hampshire and their home town should be clearly stated on their CV.
• This is a mobile role and candidates must be able to drive.
• The role involves working within occupied and void residential properties.
• Successful candidates will be required to comply with Aster Group's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participation in out-of-hours support may be required when necessary.
