Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Driver Labourer to join our Non-Mechanical Division in Harthill. You will keep the workshop and yard tidy, ensure tools are stored safely and equipment is pressure cleaned for customers, and you will load, deliver and collect hire gear to customer sites.

On site at a depot role, you must hold a full driving licence; CSCS card and forklift licence are preferable. A team player with attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment.
• Strong team player who is willing to support colleagues with additional tasks.
• Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment with high attention to detail.
• Full driving licence is essential and a CSCS card and forklift licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Keep workshop and yard areas clean and tidy, and ensure tools are stored away correctly.
• Ensure equipment leaving the depot is pressure cleaned and ready for the customer.
• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
• On customer sites, carry out hire equipment demonstrations and complete all checks and administration.

Our nationwide Non-Mechanical Division offers the latest, industry-leading Non-Mechanical Plant equipment including pedestrian / crowd control barriers, temporary security fencing, trench boxes, bogmats, magnetic rail barriers, road plates and more.

The Role:

Working in the heart of the depot, the Driver Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Driver Labourer is also responsible that any equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer. As a Driver Labourer your role will also include loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and you must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.

About You

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:
