Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions in Oxford is seeking a Driver Labourer to keep the depot and yard in order and to load, deliver and collect hire equipment for customers. The role requires driving duties, equipment demonstrations when on site, and accurate administration for hires.

Candidates should have labourer experience, be a strong team player, detail-oriented, with a valid driving licence; CSCS and forklift licences are preferred. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

• Able to work in a fast-paced depot setting with a high level of detail.
• Full driving licence is essential; CSCS card and forklift licence are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites.
• Ensure depot areas are clean, tidy and hazard-free; tools stored correctly.
• Pressure-clean equipment leaving the depot and prepare it for customers.
• Carry out hire checks and administration required for the hire when on site.

Our nationwide Non-Mechanical Division offers the latest, industry-leading Non-Mechanical Plant equipment including pedestrian / crowd control barriers, temporary security fencing, trench boxes, bogmats, magnetic rail barriers, road plates and more.

The Role

Working in the heart of the depot, the Driver Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Driver Labourer is also responsible that any equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer. As a Driver Labourer your role will also include loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and you must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.

About You

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment
• Strong team player who is willing to support their colleagues with additional tasks when required
• Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential and a CSCS card and forklift licence is preferable
