Job summary

GAP Group is hiring a Driver Labourer to join our depot team. The role involves cleaning and tidying workshop/yard areas, ensuring safety and proper tool storage, and preparing equipment for customers after pressure cleaning.

You will also load, deliver and collect hire equipment from customer sites, sometimes demonstrating equipment and completing hire administration. A strong team player with a valid driving licence is essential, and CSCS and forklift qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment.
• Strong team player who is willing to support colleagues with additional tasks when required.
• Ability to work to own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment with high attention to detail.
• Full driving licence is essential and a CSCS card and forklift licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep workshop and yard areas clean, tidy and free of hazards; ensure tools are stored away correctly.
• Pressure-clean equipment leaving the depot and ready for the customer.
• Demonstrate hire equipment on customer sites and complete checks and administration involved for the hire.

Our team is the best in the industry - is it time for you to join us?, Working in the heart of the depot, the Driver Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Driver Labourer is also responsible that any equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer. As a Driver Labourer your role will also include loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and you must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.
