Job summary

GAP Group Limited is hiring a Driver Labourer to keep our depot workshop and yard clean, tidy and hazard-free, while ensuring equipment is cleaned and ready for customers. The role includes loading, delivering and collecting hire gear to customer sites and performing on-site demonstrations where required.

You will join the UK's leading equipment hire provider, with nationwide locations and a strong emphasis on safety, service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment.
• Strong team player who can support colleagues with tasks.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment.
• Full driving licence is essential; CSCS card and forklift licence are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites.
• Keep workshop and yard tidy and hazard-free; ensure tools are stored correctly.
• Inspect equipment leaving the depot; ensure it is cleaned and ready for customers.
• Carry out hire demonstrations and complete relevant checks and administration.

Our nationwide Non-Mechanical Division offers the latest, industry-leading Non-Mechanical Plant equipment including pedestrian / crowd control barriers, temporary security fencing, trench boxes, bogmats, magnetic rail barriers, road plates and more. Working in the heart of the depot, the Driver Labourer is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy whilst ensuring those areas are clear of any hazards and that tools are store away correctly. The Driver Labourer is also responsible that any equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and ready for the customer. As a Driver Labourer your role will also include loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and you must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.
