Job description

Have you worked in a busy team before? Do you have experience of delivering and collecting customer vehicles?

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

We are looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Preston on a full-time basis for a six-month fixed term.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing deliveries, liaising with customers, updating, and assisting with any queries, all while complying with set targets.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Take direction from the Branch Manager/Workshop/Parts Controller/Sales Manager.
2. Clean, valet, and prepare new and used vehicles to a high standard.
3. Operate the steam cleaner and maintain a clean and tidy work area.
4. Manage stock of supplies for vehicle valeting.
5. Present and maintain vehicle lineup for display standards.
6. Take vehicles for MOT and present them.
7. Assist with general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.
8. Collect and deliver customer vehicles efficiently and courteously.

To perform this role effectively, previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with strong attention to detail and excellent customer focus. A 'can-do' attitude, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and ownership of departmental issues are essential. A Class 1 license is mandatory.
