Job summary

Care in Mind operates residential services for young people aged 16-30. This Mental Health Support Worker role requires a full manual UK driving licence and a willingness to drive a service car.

You will work 37.5 hours weekly with early/late shifts, including weekends and some night coverage as needed. The organisation provides therapeutic support to youths facing mental health and emotional challenges, with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• DRIVER ONLY - WITH FULL MANUAL UK LICENCE.
• Must attend training on weekdays during employment.
• Good written skills to write basic reports and record information.
• Basic IT skills including completing forms and emails.
• Good verbal communication and active listening.
• Maintain professional boundaries in all interactions.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies and support others.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence by supporting education, household tasks and life skills.
• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Ensure the home is kept tidy and homely for young people.
• Drive service car unsupervised and comply with shifts and training.
