Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the Bellshill/Motherwell area is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team, delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes in a two-person crew.

You will handle items up to 120kg, perform safety checks, and follow route schedules while delivering a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV driving licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience delivering home furnishings is preferred but not essential.
• Physically capable of handling large and heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Next Home furnishings as part of a two-person team to customers' homes.
• Safely handle and deliver large items (5kg–120kg) with excellent service.
• Complete between 10 and 40 deliveries per day depending on route.
• Conduct vehicle checks and follow health and safety procedures.
• Work a rotation shift pattern, including weekends, with early starts.

We're now looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering Next Home furnishings safely and on time while providing an exceptional customer experience.

A typical day may involve

• Working as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes.
• Safely handling and delivering large items ranging from 5kg to 120kg while providing excellent customer service.
• Completing between 10 and 40 deliveries per day, depending on route and customer requirements.
• Conducting vehicle checks and following all health and safety procedures throughout the working day.
• Working a rotation shift pattern, including regular weekend shifts, with start times from 6:00am and finish times typically around 4:30pm, route dependent.

This role would suit people who

• Hold a valid HGV driving licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Enjoy delivering exceptional customer service and acting as the face of DHL and Next in customers' homes.
• Have home delivery experience, although this is desirable rather than essential.
• Are comfortable with physical work, including the safe handling of large and heavy items.
• Are newly qualified or experienced drivers looking to develop their skills, with full support available through our buddy system and assessment process.
