Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Lincoln is seeking a qualified HGV driver (Cat C) to join our waste collection fleet. You will drive to planned locations, move and empty waste containers and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately.

The role requires up-to-date CPC, Digi/Tachograph card, and Cat C license, with desirable Cat C+E and related experience. A stable, full-time position with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Essential driver qualifications must be valid and up to date.
• Ability to operate within safety and regulatory requirements.
• Strong record-keeping and paperwork completion skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and operate multiple waste containers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks per operator handbook.
• Record all data in onboard system and maintain paperwork daily.
• Comply with traffic laws and load security. Clean up spills and site areas.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

Qualifications – Essential

• Cat C (Class 2) licence
• Up to date driver CPC
• Digi / Tachograph card

Qualifications – Desirable

• Cat C+E Licence (Potential Wagon & Drag on Roro)
• Skips / RORO experience
• FEL Experience
• RCV Experience
