Job summary

GAP Group in the UK is seeking a Driver in our Lifting Division. You will deliver and collect equipment such as hoists, slings, and winches to construction sites, ensuring paperwork and safety checks are completed accurately.

You will conduct on-site demonstrations, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain high standards of safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven driving experience delivering hire equipment.
• Full UK driving licence (towing experience and Digi Tachograph desirable).
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting lifting equipment to and from customer sites, completing all paperwork accurately (including damage checks, fuel levels, and authorised signatures).
• Conduct hire equipment demonstrations where needed.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Safely loading and unloading equipment using correct strapping and securing methods.
• Tagging damaged equipment on return and placing them in the correct depot area.
• Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle and supporting general depot duties.
• Following customer site Health & Safety rules and using digital tachographs in line with legislation.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused, including:

• Proven experience in a driving role, ideally delivering hire equipment
• Full UK driving licence (towing experience and Digi Tacho card are desirable)
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
• A professional, friendly approach when dealing with customers and colleagues
