Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a Driver to join our Non‑Mechanical and Welfare division in Plymouth. The role involves loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to customer sites, with demonstrations and appropriate checks as part of daily duties.

Driving experience in a similar environment is essential; HGV licence is preferred but not mandatory. Training for towing welfare units is available, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience driving to load, deliver and collect equipment from customer sites.
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and following guidelines in the workplace.
• Excellent customer service skills with attention to detail.
• HGV Licence preferred but not essential; Driver CPC with 35 hours and Tachograph card recommended.
• Trailer towing experience desirable; training available.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely, professional manner.
• Carry out demonstrations when required and complete hire checks and documentation.
• Possibly drive HGVs and tow welfare units as needed.

We're looking for a Driver (preferably with an HGV licence and towing experience) to join our Non‑Mechanical and Welfare division, which supplies industry‑leading equipment from pedestrian and crowd‑control barriers, temporary security fencing, trench boxes, road plates to portable toilets, welfare units and more. The role involves loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner, carrying out demonstrations when required, and completing all relevant checks and hire documentation. The position may also include driving HGVs and towing welfare units. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of driving experience in a similar environment, who takes pride in driving safely, responsibly and within the law at all times.

About You

• Significant experience working within a driving role loading, delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites is essential
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• HGV Licence preferred but not essential - Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph card
• Trailer towing experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided
