Job summary

GAP Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an HGV Driver to join our Plant & Tool Division, delivering diggers, dumpers and power tools to construction, utilities and infrastructure sites nationwide. You will load, deliver and collect hire equipment safely, complete checks and paperwork, and provide a helpful, professional service on-site, whether in cities or rural locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a driving role, ideally delivering plant or tool equipment.
• Full UK driving licence with Category C (HGV) entitlement essential.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver plant and tool equipment to sites across the UK.
• Load, unload and collect hire equipment safely and professionally.
• Perform on-site demonstrations and ensure all checks and paperwork are completed accurately.

As a Driver in GAP's Plant & Tool Division, you'll be at the heart of our operations delivering essential equipment like diggers, dumpers, and power tools to construction, utilities, and infrastructure sites across the UK.

You'll load, deliver, and collect hire equipment safely and professionally, often demonstrating kit on-site and ensuring all checks and paperwork are completed accurately. Whether you're navigating busy city streets or remote rural roads, your role is key to keeping projects running smoothly.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused, including:

• Proven experience in a driving role, ideally delivering plant or tool equipment
• Full UK driving licence with Category C (HGV) entitlement essential
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
• A professional, friendly approach when dealing with customers and colleagues
