Job summary

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is seeking an experienced Drama specialist to join us as Achievement Director of Performing Arts. You will lead and develop the Performing Arts faculty, raise attainment and ensure a broad curriculum across age and ability levels.

The role requires QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree, with management training desirable. We value inclusive practice, collaboration and career progression within the Harris Federation.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and, ideally, management training.
• Demonstrate successful teaching of GCSE at good or better level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Performing Arts subject area.
• Raise standards of attainment across the department and monitor student progress.
• Ensure a broad, balanced curriculum in line with academy policies.
• Teach the relevant subject across the age/ability range.
• Effectively manage staff, finances and resources within the department.
• Support personal and academic growth opportunities for students.
