Harris Academy Chafford Hundred, part of the Harris Federation, is recruiting a Teacher of Drama to start in January. The role focuses on delivering a drama curriculum to KS3 and KS4, planning lessons, assessing students and acting as a form tutor.

With postgraduate teacher development and a commitment to high expectations, the post requires QTS and experience in secondary contexts, ideally in multi-ethnic urban schools. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is essential.
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Secondary teaching experience, including teaching practice, is required.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated drama curriculum for KS3/KS4.
• Plan lessons, develop resources and syllabuses, and contribute to the departmental plan.
• Monitor and support students' progress and development as a teacher and form tutor.
• Be a form tutor to a designated group of students.
• Contribute to raising attainment and helping students reach their potential.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and performance management reviews.
• Maintain records and track student progress; communicate with parents and stakeholders.
