Job summary

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred is seeking an experienced teacher to join as Achievement Director of Performing Arts, with Drama specialism.

The post requires QTS, a relevant degree, and proven ability to raise GCSE results, lead change and develop curriculum. You will work to maintain high standards, build professional relationships with students and staff, and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and ideally management training.
• Demonstrate successful teaching of GCSE at good or better level.
• Experience of initiation and effective management of change.
• Evidence of raising achievement and value added for groups.
• Knowledge of current curriculum developments and implications.
• Understanding of how children learn and raise standards.
• Good communication skills in speech and writing.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Build and sustain professional standards and relationships with students.

Job description

Do you have experience leading, managing and developing the subject area and or providing support in school curriculum? We are looking for a qualified, experienced teacher to join Harris Academy Chafford Hundred as Achievement Director of Performing Arts.

You will need to be a Drama specialist to be considered for this role.
