Job summary

The Lanes Group, the UK’s largest independent drainage provider, is seeking a Drainage Assistant to join our Glasgow depot. You will work in two-person teams attending drainage issues, including blockages, cleansing and reactive call-outs, with full training provided.

Applicants should have relevant experience in utilities or similar. You will develop skills in high-pressure jetting, confined spaces and spill response while contributing to a safe, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Applicants should ideally have experience in utility or similar environments.
• Training will be provided for high-pressure water jetting, confined spaces and spill response.
• Ability to solve problems, listen, think critically and work in a team with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Attend drainage-related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing and cleansing.
• Handle reactive call-outs as part of two-person depot teams.
• Operate machinery with careful hand-eye coordination and concentration.
