Job summary

Metro Rod & Metro Plumb West Yorkshire is seeking a Drainage Engineer to perform drainage cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance for clients across Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield. The role is on-site with a 45-hour week plus an on-call rota and a company van with fuel card.

You will operate jetting equipment, conduct surveys, and deliver excellent service while logging job details in internal systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude; willing to work unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence; must live in the West Yorkshire area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment safely and effectively.
• Carry out surveys of drainage systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
• Accurately record work details via internal and client systems and apps.
• Communicate with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and support centre colleagues; participate in 24/7 on-call rota.

Drainage Engineer

Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax & Wakefield areas

Salary £14-£16 per hour DOE plus overtime & on-call

45 hours per week on-site + paid driving time

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers' drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to the business needs

What are we looking for?

• High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
