Job summary

Metro Rod Deeside & North Wales is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our team. The role covers reactive drainage services, planned maintenance and remedial works on commercial sites, with a focus on blockages, CCTV surveys and lining where needed.

The successful candidate will work across sites, manage on-call duties, and uphold high safety and service standards. A full UK driving licence is required, with 7.30am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and a salary circa £35,000 basic plus

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting experience.
• CCTV surveying experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
• Experience using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Strong problem-solving ability with technical knowledge.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work some unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out drainage cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance for customers.
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with safety standards.

Salary circa £35,000 basic plus overtime, on-call & benefits

Ther role:

This is a varied, hands-on role working across commercial sites, delivering a mixture of reactive drainage services, planned maintenance and specialist remedial works. You’ll investigate and clear blockages using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment, complete CCTV surveys, diagnose faults and carry out lining repairs. We’re looking for an experienced commercial drainage engineer with a broad range of skills.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out CCTV surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year

What experience do we look for?
