Job summary

Metro Rod Birmingham is seeking a Drainage Engineer to deliver reactive drainage services, planned maintenance and remedial works across commercial sites.

You will investigate and clear blockages using jetting equipment, perform CCTV surveys and diagnose faults while maintaining detailed job records for clients. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work unsociable hours are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
• Experience with high-pressure water jetting & CCTV surveying.
• Full UK driving licence and flexible to unsociable hours.

Salary £35,000 basic plus overtime, on-call & benefits (OTE 45K)

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

Ther role:

This is a varied, hands-on role working across commercial sites, delivering a mixture of reactive drainage services, planned maintenance and specialist remedial works. You’ll investigate and clear blockages using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment, complete CCTV surveys, diagnose faults and carry out lining repairs. We’re looking for an experienced commercial drainage engineer with a broad range of skills.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out CCTV surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year

What experience do we look for?

• High pressure water jetting experience
• CCTV Surveying experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage
• Experience of using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
