Job summary

Metro Rod Coventry & Leicester is seeking a Drainage Engineer to perform cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains across commercial and domestic sites. The role requires high-pressure water jetting and surveying experience.

You will be on a rotating on-call schedule (one week in four, including weekends), using the company van and fuel card, with branded uniform and ongoing health and safety training, plus pension and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• High-pressure water jetting experience.
• Surveying experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial drainage.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to work unsociable hours.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operation of high-pressure water jetting equipment safely.
• Carrying out surveys on drainage systems.
• Providing excellent customer service and technical support.
• Accurately recording job details in internal systems.
• Communicating with clients and support teams to ensure service quality.
• On-call duties as part of a 24/7/365 rota; typical schedule one week in four.

Salary £29,000 plus overtime, on-call & benefits (OTE 50K)

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to business needs
• On-call is currently 1 in 4 weekends covering Wednesday through to Sunday
