Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is recruiting for a permanent role in Bristol. You will work with a small team to operate jetting and vacuumation equipment, clearing blockages and servicing drainage systems. A hands-on role requiring a driver with a valid license and proficiency with a tablet.

The position is 40 hours per week, with a salary of £13.00–£14.00 per hour. You will update records on a company tablet and ensure safety and quality checks are completed daily.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Competent in using an electronic device – PDA / Tablet.

Responsibilities

• Operate high specification jetting and vacuumation units as part of a small team.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations to assess underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages.
• Update electronic job records and liaise with customers.
• Ensure safety issues are reported and vehicles/equipment are checked.

Department:
Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year. This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.

Purpose of the role:

Working on a variety of different reactive contracts, you will be working closely with a HGV driver to operate jetting and vacuumation equipment for the purpose of clearing blockages and maintaining / servicing drainage systems.

You will be assisting operatives to conduct work accordingly, so a hands on approach is needed due to the manual nature of the work. You will be responsible for using a company tablet on a daily basis to keep accurate records of jobs and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacuumation units.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
