Job summary

Lanes Group, a nationwide utility services provider, is seeking an operator for jetting and vacuumation work in Bamber Bridge, Preston. You will be part of a small team, driving a high-spec jetting unit and ensuring efficient clearance of drains and sewerage systems.

The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with pay up to £17 per hour depending on experience, plus weekly pay and enhanced overtime rates. Training is provided to get you up to speed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points preferred.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) desirable.
• In date CSCS would be advantageous – but can be obtained if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company vehicle.
• Liaise with customers.
• Update electronic/online records.
• Report any safety issues.
• Carry out vehicle and jetting equipment checks.

Department:
Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year.

This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.

Purpose of the role:

You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacuumation units. You will also operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.

Please note: full training will be provided

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving company vehicle.
• Liaising with customers.

• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks

Key Requirements:

Skills & Experience:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this can be obtained if necessary.
