Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Dosimetry Controller for the Devonport Royal Dockyard site. The role supports a small, skilled team, ensuring ALARP radiation doses and compliant dosimetry services.

You will manage contracts and budgets, operate the dosimetry system, and coordinate Radon monitoring while maintaining equipment and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience administering dosimetry programmes or services.
• Experience in radiation protection or a regulated environment.
• Experience managing contracts and budgets.
• Experience in office administration and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Devonport Site Dosimetry System in line with legislation, company requirements and industry best practice.
• Manage dosimetry-related contracts, budgets and associated records using company systems.
• Coordinate and monitor the site's Radon Monitoring Programme.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Whole-Body Monitor, its operators and associated radioactive sources.
• Maintain dosimetry equipment and hardware assets, including the use of maintenance management systems.
