Job summary

Babcock International Plymouth, Devon, is seeking a Dosimetry Controller to join the Devonport Royal Dockyard team. You will manage radiation dose monitoring programmes and dosimetry arrangements to support safe operations across naval nuclear projects.

The role involves coordinating dosimetry services, managing contracts and budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements, while providing expert support to site managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Science, Mathematics, English Language and English Literature.
• Desirable NVQ in Administration, Customer Service or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operating the Devonport Site Dosimetry System in line with legislation, company requirements and industry best practice.
• Managing dosimetry-related contracts, budgets and associated records using company systems.
• Coordinating and monitoring the site's Radon Monitoring Programme.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Whole-Body Monitor, its operators and associated radioactive sources.
• Maintaining dosimetry equipment and hardware assets, including the use of maintenance management systems.
