Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for the West Green Store in Crawley. The role involves delivering groceries, operating a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and maintaining vehicle readiness. Shifts are planned in advance, with a 37-hour week and permanent contract.

You must be over 18 with a full UK/EU license (12 months, <=6 points) and right to work in the UK. Safety checks including an online risk assessment are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers in a safe, timely and friendly manner
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customer doorsteps
• Perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness
• Follow planned routes and adapt to road conditions
• Assist in-store tasks when not delivering
• Communicate delays or issues clearly to customers
