Job summary

Wakefield Hospice is seeking a Donation Centre Manager to lead the Donation Centre team, oversee stock flow across shops and online channels, and maximise income generation opportunities. You will line-manage supervisors, staff and volunteers, drive process improvements, and ensure health and safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent charitable outcomes for the local community.

This time-sensitive role includes rolling CV reviews and close collaboration with senior leadership

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail, warehouse, logistics or operational teams.
• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate staff and volunteers.
• Experience managing stock, processes or distribution operations.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Confident handling multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sorting, processing and distribution of donated stock.
• Manage stock allocation across retail shops, eBay and other channels.
• Oversee transport operations, collections and deliveries.
• Line manage supervisors, staff and volunteers.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, GDPR and retail regulations.
• Produce operational and performance reports for senior leadership.
