Job summary
Marie Curie is recruiting for a Retail & Community Hub Manager to lead our Donation Centre and Community Hub, a role that blends charity retail with community engagement. You will oversee a busy multi-purpose store, drive monthly events, and promote the hub through social media while delivering excellent service to local residents.
You will manage staff and volunteers, implement merchandising standards, and build partnerships with community groups to maximise donations and income.
Qualifications
- Brand knowledge of Marie Curie services and directing supporters to the right contact.
- Excellent customer service with local residents and community.
- Ability to motivate and influence others effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple activities.
- Comprehensive retail management experience, including merchandising and display.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with community groups and businesses to generate links.
- Deliver monthly events across the hub and store, organizing and maximizing opportunities.
- Promote activity via social media in collaboration with communications teams.
- Maintain high store standards and realistic pricing of donated items to maximise sales.
- Assist District Manager in staff and volunteer recruitment.
