Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting in Lockerbie is seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead a domiciliary care service. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance, and develop a capable team of care professionals and office staff.

The role offers a competitive £37,500 per year (pro rata for part-time) plus a performance bonus and the chance to shape service delivery within the local community.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 4 in Social Care, or currently working towards this qualification.
• Appropriate SSSC registration or eligibility for registration.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of care professionals and office staff.
• Oversee daily operations of the domiciliary care service.
• Maintain high standards of safe, effective and person‑centred care.
• Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate requirements and Scottish Health & Social Care Standards.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas and workforce planning.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and regular service reviews.
• Monitor service quality, audits, complaints and incident reporting.
• Support staff recruitment, induction, training and development.
• Conduct staff supervisions and performance reviews.
• Build relationships with service users, families and local authorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and growth.
