Job summary

Westgate Healthcare is seeking a Domestic / Laundry Assistant to join our warm, family-run team. You will clean rooms, manage supplies, and maintain a safe, tidy environment for our elderly residents.

This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm, covering 5 shifts over 7 with weekend coverage and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour plus a £0.50 per hour weekend enhancement. We offer a comprehensive induction, training, and development opportunities with employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain a caring attitude.
• Understanding of Health and Safety, infection control and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• To clean all assigned rooms, paying close attention to surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms.
• Maintain and replenish cleaning products.
• Ensure equipment is clean, well maintained and stored properly.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and company standards.
• Ensure public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.

We are looking for a pro-active and positive Domestic / Laundry Assistants to join our family. About the role

37.5 hours per week

8:00am to 4:00pm, covering 5 shifts over 7, must be flexible to cover alternate weekends

£12.71 per hour, plus50p p/h weekend enhancement
