Winner Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a qualified Electrician for a permanent, full-time role based in Wyton. You will carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance across domestic properties, including planned works, voids and responsive maintenance.

The successful candidate will fault-find, test and certify, ensuring compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition) and safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a qualified Electrician, preferably in domestic maintenance or social housing.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or City & Guilds equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience in electrical installations, testing and fault diagnosis independently.
• Knowledge of domestic electrical systems (heating, storage heaters, cooker circuits).
• Understanding of Health & Safety, safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures.
• Confident using PDA devices and mobile job systems.
• Must hold or be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance and BPSS.
• Willingness for security vetting and renewals.
• Experience in planned works, voids or responsive maintenance; social housing/MOD contracts.
• 2391/2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Knowledge of PAS 2035/2038 and retrofit projects.

Responsabilités

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations in domestic and commercial properties.
• Undertake planned works and void programs, including full/partial rewires and smoke alarms.
• Respond to reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
• Carry out electrical testing and issue EICRs and remedial works as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 (18th Edition) regulations.
• Complete records, certification, materials and timesheets via PDA/mobile device.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients and colleagues.
• Coordinate with Electrical Supervisor on technical issues and progress.
• Create risk assessments and follow safe working practices.
• Maintain Health & Safety and company procedures; participate in on-call rota.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a national property maintenance and building services provider, for a qualified Electrician to join their team based in Wyton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance across a range of domestic properties, covering planned works, voids and responsive maintenance.

This is a varied role suited to a qualified Electrician with strong fault-finding skills, a good understanding of current electrical regulations and the ability to deliver a high standard of work while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations across domestic and commercial properties.
• Undertake planned works and void programmes, including full and partial rewires, consumer unit replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, shower circuits and general electrical remedials.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Carry out electrical inspection and testing, including EICRs and any necessary remedial works.
• Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with current BS7671 (18th Edition) regulations.
• Complete job records, certification, materials and timesheets using a PDA or mobile device.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients and colleagues.
• Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor regarding technical issues, materials and work progress.
• Complete risk assessments and follow safe working practices at all times.
• Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety and company procedures.
• Participate in a rotational out-of-hours call-out rota.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a qualified Electrician, ideally within domestic maintenance or social housing.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience carrying out electrical installations, testing and fault diagnosis independently.
• Knowledge of domestic electrical systems, including electric heating, storage heaters and cooker circuits.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures.
• Confident using PDA devices and mobile job management systems.
• Must hold, or be immediately eligible for, Security Check (SC) clearance and meet BPSS requirements.
• Willingness to undertake security vetting and periodic renewals.
• Experience working within planned works, voids or responsive maintenance programmes.
• Previous experience within social housing or MOD contracts.
• 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Knowledge of PAS 2035/2038 and retrofit or decarbonisation projects.
