Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing seeks a Domestic Assistant at Pentlands Nursing Home to maintain high cleanliness standards and support residents, 25 hours per week. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, communal areas, and managing laundry with care.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£12.21–£12.82), free uniform and DBS, pension and 24-hour employee assistance, with industry-leading training and development and a refer-a-friend incentive.

Qualifications

• To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
• To clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care. To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
• To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, dusting
• Ensuring the home is safe e.g removing clutter, keeping storage area’s tidy
• Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
• To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed
• To take particular care with resident’s personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• To check resident’s personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair if necessary

An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at Pentlands Nursing Home in Worthing.

Hours: 25 per week

The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior
service to our residents
