Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a friendly domestic assistant to join Berwick Infirmary's small team. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards across wards, departments, corridors and offices to keep patients, visitors and staff safe.

This 19.5 hour post is usually 3 x 6.5 hour shifts per week (7am–7pm). Weekend and bank holiday work is required with enhanced pay. Training will be provided to uphold NHS cleanliness and safety commitments.

We are looking to recruit a friendly and flexible domestic assistant to join our small team at Berwick Infirmary.

The successful candidate will maintain the standard of cleanliness as specified throughout the designated work area by means of approved cleaning methods., NHFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Established in 2012, NHFM provide specialist project management services for large and small capital developments, estates maintenance and a full range of facilities services. Carrying out facilities management for a state-of-the-art specialist emergency care hospital - The Northumbria, three general hospitals - North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham hospitals - and a number of smaller community hospitals and clinic sites, we cover one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country.

19.5 hr post - usually worked as 3 x 6.5 hr shifts per week between 7am and 7pm. This position will involve working a share of weekend and bank holiday dates, for which an enhanced hourly rate is payable.
