Job summary

2gether Support Solutions in Margate is seeking Domestic Assistants for a full-time 4-month fixed-term contract from November 2026 to March 2027, 2pm to 10pm on a rotating rota.

You will clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, follow infection control protocols, dispose of waste, restock supplies and report safety issues.

No previous experience required; training provided; you must be physically fit with good English reading, writing and numeracy, and able to work weekends and holidays.

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

This is a Full-Time, 4-month Fixed-Term Contract from November 2026 to March 2027, working 2pm to 10pm on a 2-week rolling rota. Available shift patterns are:

Shift Patterns

• Week 1: Monday to Thursday, Saturday & Sunday | Week 2: Tuesday to Friday
• Week 1: Tuesday to Friday | Week 2: Monday to Thursday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week 1: Monday, Wednesday to Friday | Week 2: Monday to Wednesday & Friday to Sunday

The Role

Domestic assistants are more than just a cleaner, they are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, keeping hospitals, health centres, offices and other areas clean and hygienic. No previous experience is required and training will be provided inline with the BICS accreditation.You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Main Duties

The Person

You will be physically fit, able to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, and moving for extended periods. They should have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene with keen attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills, dependability with excellent punctuality, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, are essential. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are also required to follow instructions and complete necessary documentation. A proficient level of reading, verbal, and written English is required for this role to ensure effective communication and job performance.
